This travertine threshold measures 2 by 36 inches and bridges the transition where one floor meets another. Set it in a doorway between tile and carpet, wood, or a different tile, and it levels the change while protecting both edges. It also works as a saddle at a shower curb or under a swinging door.
This threshold is quarried in Turkey and finished with a smooth polished face. Travertine varies in color and veining from piece to piece, so each threshold looks a little different. The stone is porous, so seal it before installation and reseal over time to resist moisture and stains.
Match it to travertine field tile and coordinating trim for a seamless stone floor. Dry-fit the threshold, check the height against both finishes, and set it in thinset. Order a single piece first to confirm the tone matches your tile.
