“As an employee at Tile Outlets of America, I get to see many types of beautiful wall and floor material(s) daily. A few years ago, when the “lantern style” mosaic came into the store, I felt a genuine connection to it. This beautifully shaped mosaic was a part of my childhood. My father installed a lantern-shaped mosaic on our kitchen floor in 1970."

Gary continues,

"Growing up, we spent a lot of time walking across that floor in our kitchen. It was the most popular place in the house. If this tile could talk it could tell so many stories. This is where we ate, learned how to color, did our homework, and fed our dogs. I have so many fond memories of this uniquely shaped tile from my youth.

As with most homes, it became time to update in 1988. My parents remodeled the kitchen and changed the tile. It's been many years since I have seen anything like it. When we recently brought the new Lantern Arabesque 12x12 mosaic into stock, I immediately began thinking about a place to use it in my home. It has a beautiful polished refined design and can be used on both walls and floors.

To anyone who is looking for a tile, stone, or glass, remember it will always reflect a particular place and time in your life. With a quality installation, these products will survive the test of time. I'm looking forward to installing this marble mosaic as the backsplash to my built-in bookshelves and entertainment center in my family room.”

Sales Rep Stephanie Nibert selected Salem Bianco Mosaic 12x12 based on this mosaic's timeless look and functional use.

The polished Carrara-look marries perfectly with white, grey, and marbled granite or quartz options. She loves that added texture that has been randomly inserted into the mosaic.

This backsplash mosaic looks great vertically, horizontally, or as a decorative strip.

Oikos Blue 3” Hexagon Matte Mosaic

Last but not least is an all-time favorite: Oikos Blue 3” Hex Matte Mosaic. You'll love the 3" size of the Hexagon for either a backsplash or your shower floors.
